I made a few more of the Table Setting Placemats for a friend. These placemats are a bit different than the first ones I made. There’s no batting in these, just heavy craft-weight interfacing. Also no binding.

These are sewn together right sides together leaving an opening for turning at the bottom. Trim the corners and turn inside out, then top stitch around the edge. I used decorative stitches for the plate placement, but left off the stitches around the fork, knife and spoon.

Those are great. Cleaner lines than the bound and batted version.
